• The Business Development Manager promotes customer dialogue to cultivate cross-selling opportunities, strengthen customer relations, and effectively manage the dedicated sales cycle.
• He/she conducts sales calls to gather information, assesses customer needs and presents the Dedicated Contract Carriage services solution.
• Manage the Dedicated sales pipeline, report sales activities, understands market conditions and the competitive environment. Conduct cold calling to establish lead generation for new and incremental business opportunities.

• The Business Development Manager also assists in resolving customer issues and manages rate changes and contract renewals. Performs various Account Management activities which includes, but is not limited to, Customer KPI review, financial performance, monitoring contract and payment terms to ensure alignment with agreement.
• Collaborate with others (e.g., OTR Sales, pricing, etc.) to interpret customer requirements, and develop competitive, customized, and innovative customer solutions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Broad knowledge of such fields as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc. Equivalent to a four-year college degree, plus 4 years related sales/business development experience and/or training, and 4 years related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
